Soundview continues to strengthen and broaden its athletic program. From a single competitive team in our early years, we have grown to several competitive and non-competitive club teams.
Every year, Soundview athletes and their families and coaches gather for our Annual Sports Banquet. Held at area restaurants, the event celebrates Soundview’s growing athletic program and its talented and hard-working athletes.
The student athletes and their coaches receive accolades and an item of apparel sporting the Soundview logo and their name. Students admire Coach DiPaolo for his devotion to our teams. He is always proud of them, win or lose.
Coach speaks about the importance of the sports program to the students. The lessons being taught in the program, he says, are building character and fortitude, seeing yourself honestly and working on your deficiencies, playing up to the best of your ability, learning self-discipline and self-sacrifice for the team, and teamwork.
