Soundview is thriving today because of the commitment and generosity of parents, alumni, trustees, grandparents, friends and foundations who have demonstrated their belief in the school’s mission over the years. The support of these individuals and institutions has been instrumental in enabling Soundview to enter the 21st century on a secure financial basis, with its mission as strong as when it was founded.

Since tuition at Soundview – as at virtually every independent school - does not fully cover the cost of educating each student, donations to the Annual Fund and fundraising events are crucial in enabling us to meet our operating expenses. We rely on philanthropic contributions from the Soundview community to sustain nearly every aspect of the Soundview experience, including academic and extra-curricular programs, faculty salaries, facilities upkeep and financial aid.
Parent and alumni volunteer efforts, too, play a vital role at Soundview, and are key to supporting many school activities and fundraising initiatives. We are grateful for the generosity of our many donors and volunteers!

The Development Office works with the administration, faculty, parents and alumni to coordinate fundraising efforts such as the Annual Fund, special events and, on occasion capital campaigns. Development staff oversees communications and marketing activities, including a newsletter published three times a year, and is responsible for alumni relations and activities.
