| The Admissions Process
Interview with the Director of Admissions
Prospective parents and students learn about Soundview.
Class visitation
Prospective students are encouraged to return for a morning or for a full day to experience the regular operation of the school.
Testing
Portions of the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) standardized examination are administered. This step may be waived if the applicant can provide the school with sufficient, current test data.
Writing Sample
Applicant submits a writing sample - either an original composition or a composition that has already been graded.
Recommendations
Applicants are asked to provide two recommendations from persons who have worked closely with them or who have taught them.
Records
Applicants must provide all data needed for their permanent record file, including transcripts, health forms, and testing prior to acceptance.
Enrollment Agreement and Deposit
When a student is accepted, parents or guardians sign an Enrollment Agreement and provide an enrollment deposit of $2,000.
